Sol LeWitt is the subject of an exhibition at Waterhouse & Dodd, 104 Greene Street,New York. LeWitt, an American artist, will have his works on paper shown from June 22, to August 3, 2012. There will be an opening reception (RSVP required) on June 21 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The works were acquired directly from the artist who passed away in 2007. There are gouaches, woodcuts, etchings and silkscreens. Cost for these works range from $5,000 to $40,000. LeWitt has bee the subject o retrospectives at the Tate Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art (NYC) and the San Francisco Museum of Art. His work is also in many notable collections both public and private. Public collections featuring his work include Centre Georges Pompidou and the Guggenheim.
