I will say it right out; I want this painting. I cannot tell you why but Snow Bunnies spoke to me. Perhaps it is my fondness for Night of the Lepus?

Samaras creates art with humor and a sense of wonder. You will find references t your favorite horror films (or MY favorite horror films at least) mixed with allusions to the old masters, pop culture and old fashioned fairy tale magic in her pieces.
There are hints of Surrealism in her work as well. I am not certain if she shares that philosophy but certainly the aesthetic.
