SIm Smith Gallery (London) showed paintings by Bradley Wood at Context Miami 2015.
There is something out of time about Wood's pieces. When I looked at these I thought of F. Scott Fitzgerald. I felt transported to another time. This is written without looking at any artist statement but that is part of the beauty of art; what I see, how it strikes me, might have nothing to do with the intentions of the artist. Perhaps I come to understand that intent later? But the layers and possible interpretations of pieces is what makes them compelling.
