Sight / Vision: The Urban Milieu runs from October 9 to November 9, 2013 At Gallery Paule Anglim (14 Geary St., San Francisco). There will be an opening reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
This is the sixth presentation of Sight/Vision. The first was 30 years ago. All of these exhibitions are dedicated to the bohemian spirit of California--the Beat Generation. The exhibit includes film, collage, painting, sculpture and drawing.
Artists include; Wallace Berman, Joan Brown, Cameron, Bruce Conner, Jean Conner, Jay DeFeo, Wally Hedrick, George Herms, Jess and Lawrence Jordan.
The works in this part of the series show the artist's response to the decay of the inner cities.
