Emami's Fridge uses images from vintage advertisements as metaphor for space. The images are multi-layered silk screened images of animals, people, household items and personal possessions. He contrasts the relationship of audience and image via print-making. The artist was born in Tehran and educated as a graphic designer. His work has been shown in Iran and also at Opera Gallery (London). He is the recipient of an Islamic Art Biannual award in Design and Contemporary Painting.
Mehdizadeh's Blood Laundering is a series where the artist "re-contextualizes" locations where murders have taken place via pictoral landscape photography. In these pieces the artist allows the viewer to recreate the story. He uses a cell phone lens and a documentary style.
