Robin F. Williams' Sons of the Pioneers runs from February 13 to March 15, 2013 at P.P.O.W. (535 West 22nd St. 3rd Fl., New York). There will be an opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 13.
This is Williams' second solo exhibit with the gallery. The tradition of a female form shown in an odalisque gives way to a male. The idyllic woman is replaced with men--idle men. They are giving up conquest these men and adopting the stillness of a more personal, inner quest.
Willains, from Ohio, currently lives in Brooklyn. she received a BFA from RISD.
