Adams, originally from Baltimore, lives and works in New York City. He is a multi-media artist. Performance art, video, video, and obviously paintings and three dimensional wall sculptures like this piece, Figure in the Urban Landscape 40.
Unlike many artists who explore the urban realm some of Adam's work is geometrical. It is an interesting juxtaposition. It is as if Jacob Lawrence was mashed up with Piet Mondrian (but not really...).
