This is not a terribly surprising thing to note. Those even moderately knowledgeable about contemporary art will recognize Fetting's name and work (it took me awhile after the kind folks at the gallery discussed his work for me to recall his career and impact).
After completing his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts (Berlin) he formed Galerie am Moritzplatz with a bevy of other notable artists: Helmut Middendorf, Salomé, Anne Jud, Berthold Schepers and Bernd Zimmer. The artist's early training was in carpentry and set design--somehow his works retain a theatricality decades after moving on from this. His next stop was, as noted, at the Academy of Fine Arts where he studied under Hans Jaenish (curiously Jaenish himself appears to have been largely self-taught and wound up part of the early 20th Century November Group--but that is another tale).
Fetting's work and career has been as big an influence on a new generation of artists as his teacher was on an earlier generation.
