After focusing on watercolors over the past six years the artist has returned to oil painting. In these recent works the artist is trying to use shapes in relation to one another to suggest a location or experience of a place. They are built from the layering of images with oils allowing a "sense of physicality and a richer affective response."
Wilson-Ryckman recieved her MA in Art History from the Art Institute of Chciago. She lives and works in San Francisco.
