This solo exhibition is of Farrell’s work in Haiti and consist of photos taken during many of the catastrophic times in recent Haitian history. The tragedies faced by the Haitian people boggle the mind. Proceeds from this exhibit will help fund Atikodans, the award-winning Haitian dance company led by choreographer/activist, Jeanguy Saintus. The company, based in Port Au Prince, are about to lose their small studio.
Farrell, a photographer for The Miami Herald since 1987 won the Pulizer Prize for Breaking News Photography for his photos of the Haiti following the devastation caused by a series of Hurricanes. Farrell’s career has led to many other awards and I just don't have the space to list all of them.
Max Pierre and Hennessy Black present this exhibit.
