Hume's piece is titled California and is enamel on aluminum. His work is deceptively simple and often shows everyday things. Some of his early paintings were based on hospital doors, for instance.
He works using industrial paints on panel and aluminum but he is also a draftsman and print maker. His work seems suited to being used in prints. Not all of his work look precisely like this--some are more representational others have subtle lines on panels with a single color as a backdrop.
