Better Living Through Chemistry: Gen-Xby Edie Nadelhaft
Lyons Wier Gallery (New York) always have one of the most interesting booths at any fair they attend. Unlike some others their artists are often an eclectic group too. They seem to eschew the tired notion that everything in a booth has to look the same.
This year they showed work by artists including: Edie Nadelhaft, David Lyle, James Gortner, Jeff Muhs, Bobby Mathieson and Cayce Zavaglia. You can see the variety of styles and materials here; Nadelhaft uses glass and mixed media and Lyle's piece, looking almost like a drawing, is oil on panel. Gortner's work is oil and mixed media on FOUND paintings. Zavaglia (who has been mentioned twice before on this site for shows at Lyons Wier and Scott White Contemporary).
