This is the first solo show by the English painter at the gallery. The subject of Lancaster's work is often anonymous thrift-store and flea market photographs. This is such a charming idea. I have often fretted over such abandoned, disconnected photos myself. I love the notion. These pieces are taken from found home movies.
The title refers to how a film can echo memories and dreams.
Lancaster lives in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and has been shown worldwide (including at solo presentation at Art Basel Hong Kong).
