Fritsch, from Essen, Germany, had her first solo exhibition in the USA over 20 years ago. She has had solo exhibitions at the Kunstmuseum, Tate Modern, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and many others. Her work is primarily sculpture. She lives currently in Dusseldorf.
