This is Foster’s fifth solo show with the gallery. His work is made up of fragments he puts together to create…things…and stuff. He regroups other things and stuff into new things and stuff. That is about the long and short of it (I hope that wasn't too technical). In the past the stuff might have been plastic but these days he is leaning toward the organic and the earthy tones such materials provide.
Foster received his BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University (Go Spiders!) and his MFA from Hunter College. He has been featured in a number of group and solo shows around the country. He is currently participating in a major group exhibition at one of my favorite museums, the Museum of Art/Fort Lauderdale. Several of his shark sculptures are featured on the back of the exhibition catalog. He has many other shows upcoming.
