an opening from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday September 11, 2015.
This is Otterson's third exhibit with the gallery. This exhibit features two different groups of work. One includes beaded
paintings and another hand-blown glass "flesh cups." These pay homage to sewing, stitching and embroidery and the tradition
and skill of these crafts.
Otterson is best known as a sculptor whose work is often a mash up of the domestic environment, a sly look at our relationship with our home and our fellow humans. He has been creating for over 30 years and received a BFA from Parsons. His work is in museums including the Whitney, The Hammer Museum, The Jewish Museum, The Cincinnati Art Museum and The Israel Museum (among others).
