Easel & Palette by Saul Steinberg James Barton Art (South Kent, CT) showed these pieces by Jim Dine and Saul Steinberg at Art Miami 2014.
Dine's work was all over Art Week 2014. He is a painter and sculptor (although paintings and prints are what you see most frequently). He also creates mixed media assemblages.
Steinberg was mostly known as an illustrator and cartoonist. As you can see here he did more than that. The piece to the right is mixed media on wood, it i three dimensional but does have something quite "graphic" about it. Perhaps this is just knowing about the rest of Steinberg's work.
