Smith's work, using charcoal and graphite, is inspired by the night. Her drawings are deliberate, inspired by landscape and memory. She works in drawing, scuplture and printmaking. She is a teaching artist at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC and also works in the studio with Lou Stovall, master print maker.
Tenaglia is a scuptor who works in wood and paint. She also works on paper in pen and ink and collage. Her pieces may be representational or abstract. They are always detailed and whimsical.
