McGill is a Detroit-area artist who takes part of her inspiration from Detroit’s industrial heritage. She works in a variety of media including steel, urethane and paint. Some work is on paper. Some is biographical. Some is collage. Some is all of the above.
If you are not in Boston but plan to attend Pulse New York (May 3-6) McGill’s work will be featured at the Ellen Miller Gallery booth.
McGill is is artist in residence and head of sculpture at Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her MFA is from San Francisco Art Institute. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, grants and fellowships.
