Eckstein, born in Israel, is showing work that shows her movement through color and form—early work is often figurative (ie featuring fugures) while the more recentl pieces tend to be abstract. Blanchard paints in a renaissance . His work here is described ast “post 9/11.” I confess to having no idea if this refers to subject or merely time (or both).
Westling’s work is described as “ideational contrasts expressed via color.” Hughart presents three “reductionist color enhanced portraits. “ I confess to, again, not really being able to get past the words at the work here but that happens.
There will also be an improvised, The Color of Sound, performance by Frank Abbinanti, Guillermo Gregorio and Brian Labycz.
