GAM Gallery AM MEER (Dusseldorf) showed work by Raphael Brunk and Viktoria Strecker at Scope Miami Beach 2016.
Brunk's piece is photopaper under acrylic on aluminum dibond (a pre-painted aluminum composite). To say the least it is an unusal way to create a piece of art. The process was briefly explained but the details are in the aether.
Strecker's work is also unusual. It is oil paint on photographic paper. The photo paper acts as gesso would on a canvas (sort of anyway) so the paint doesn't eat through the paper. Strecker's work was intricate and magnificent but was difficult to photograph at the fair. Be sure to have a closer look at the gallery site linked above.
