Galleria Franco Noero (Turin) showed sculpture by Francesco Vezzoli at Art Basel Miami Beach 2018. He was educated at Central Saint Martins School of Art (London)
Vezzoli is an Italian artist and experimental filmmaker whose work (in various media) recycles the work of previous artists. This Roman marble is one example while his trailer for a remake of Caligula is another. Not ALL of his work is this sort of thing but it is certainly a significant portion.
The Caligula trailer includes Helen Mirren, Milla Jovovich, Karen Black and Gore Vidal. Other video pieces include Sharon Stone, Cate Blanchette and Diane Wiest. Apparently, lots of people want to be in his short films.
