Galerie Freites (Caracas) showed this piece, Ala de griu (Aile), by Antoni Tapies at Art Miami 2016.
The piece is enamel and varnish on paper laid down on canvas.
The discord I felt looking at this piece was perhaps due to Art Miami being the third (out of four) fairs I went to the first day of Art Week. Or perhaps it was spawned by seeing the gallery is from Caracas. The winged figure here does seem a tad menacing doesn't it?. I confess to having no idea what a "griu" is.
