Gabriel Hartley's 2012 work, Pound, was shown at Art Basel Miami Beach 2012 by Praz Delavallade Gallery, Paris.
Hartley, based in London, was also the subject of a solo show at the gallery in 2012, entitled Slap. He has an upcoming solo show at Brand New Gallery in Milan later in 2013.
This piece is oil and spray paint on canvas. It begs the question if this is street art influencing fine art. Of course Hartley might be out every night spray painting to his heart's content.
Hartley was educated at the Royal Academy School, London, and, before that at Chelsea College of Art and Design, University of the Arts, London.
