The work includes drawings, paintings and sculptures that come out of the two artists mutual admiration and friendship. The two once shared a studio and have worked together but have, hitherto, never exhibited together.
Dawson's process begins with torn magazine pages that he then reworks. He paints over them, cuts them into collages. The works are made up of extensive layering.For him the ghosts are always present in his work.
