Bas, a native of Miami and alumnus of the New World School of the Arts, now lives and works in Detroit. His complex, layered works are becoming ubiquitous at any large art fair. He has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions around the world in the past 14 years. Bas is one of those artists whose work, once you become aware of it, you can spot from across a room. It is distinct both in composition and conception.
Celaya, born in Cuba and living in Miami, had his first solo exhibit 20 years ago. His work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Miami Art Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles) and many others.
