Flying Horse Editions/UCF (Orlando) showed work by Mark Thomas Gibson and Lavar Munroe at Ink Miami 2019 (at Suites of Dorchester, 1850 Collins Ave. Miami Beach).
Munroe's Beware of the Dog series are mixed media on three color lithograph. Each piece is, therefore, unique. The pieces are a clever mix of printmaking and "one of a kind" painting. Each sells for $1800. Check out images and find out more HERE.
Munroe was born in the Bahamas and has a BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design and an MFA from Washington University. His work was featured in the Venice Biennial (2015) and represented the Bahamas in the Liverpool Biennial (2010). These are just a few of his shows and honors. Gibson's Table Flip-Black Wolf, is epoxy ink on glass. It would be hard to figure this out in person without the gallery's description. The work is unframed, an edition of 10 and sells for $1200.

In the same year he curated the traveling exhibition Black Pulp! which was reviewed in Art in America and the New York Times.
