The Vernissage/Opening is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday April 25 in conjuncion with All We Art (1666 33rd St NW, Washington, DC). There is a simultaneous exhibit--with different pieces--at All We Art).
Angel works in painting, drawing, sculpture and large scale installation. The work often features sport-from baseball to polo. Yet there are also landscapes mixed throughout the work. He has been the subject of over 100 exhibitions all over Latin America and the USA. In addition his work has been shown at over 300 art fairs all over the world.
Gutierrez work draws inspiration from the natural and cultural landscapes of her homeland, Columbia. She paints from memories--be they visual or recollections from folklore and poetry. This exhibtion is inspired by Jaime Jaramillo Escobar’s poem Alheña y Azúmbar.
