Add to that an impressive group of galleries and artists and a day’s worth of looking, and hopefully purchasing, art should follow. Expo Chicago featured galleries from around the world, mostly displaying works by established artists. There was less outsider art and street art than was usually on display at Expo Chicago's predecessor in Chicago (the now defunct Art Chicago/Next).
The show included several large installation pieces—works in themselves or “props” for performance pieces—throughout. Some of these are pictured here.
Over the next few days we will post pieces on the galleries from Expo Chicago as well as more on Expo Chicago itself. Stay tuned.
