Chicago's premiere art event, Expo Chicago, opens to the public Friday, September 19, 2014. This year features more than 140 galleries from 17 countries and 43 cities. Find out more, get tickets, HERE.
The artists shown range from young, new artists to the likes of Robert Motherwell, Christo, David Hockney, Milton Avery, Andrew Wyeth mixed with artists such as Hernan Bas, Dayron Gonzalez and Anna Navasardian.
As usual the event also has impressive events outside the context of gallery booths--their In/Situ program features work by a variety of artists with connections to Chicago. You will find these pieces displayed outside the gallery booths throughout the fair AND outside on Navy Pier. The In/Situ program is curated by director and curator, Renaud Proch (Independent Curators International ).
