T-Rex "Debra" Emmanuel Fremin Gallery (New York) showed pieces by Nathan Vincent at Scope Miami Beach 2014.
Vincent, a graduate of SUNY (BFA), lives and works in New York City. These pieces are yarn and foam, knitted pieces and, for lack of a better word, they are awesome. Pretty much everyone could use a knitted dinosaur head in their home. Vincent takes the craft of knitting and takes it outside its normal parameters.
He crochets/knits guns, bombs, army men--all things with cultural connotations related to power, gender and even control.
Vincent's work has been shown around the world. He was a finalist for the West Prize in 2008.
