Adaptable to New Redundancies, pieces by Dina Gadia runs from August 2 through September 9, 2013 at Silverlens Gallery (47 Malan Road, #01-25 Gillman Barracks, Singapore). There will be an opening reception 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 2.
Gadia often uses existing images in her work, then adding images she creates. She uses old posters, magazines, comics, encyclopedias etc. in her work. In this exhibit the focus is on her cut-out floor piece using hand painted advertising standees. There is a sort of mix of collage and scuplture in this work.
