Cole Sternberg’s all his strength was concentrated in his fists, including the very strength that held him upright opens at David B Smith Gallery (1543 A Wazee Street, Denver) February 22 and runs until March 23, 2013. The title of the exhibit comes from a line from Franz Kafka’s unfinished work, Amerika. The exhibit consists of two site-specific installations. One is in the main gallery and is a mixing of a three wall mural, over painted photographs, collage and mixed media on wood panels. The installation in the Project Space is a dark, projection-based companion to the piece in the main space.
