A collection of work based on concepts from the work of Pablo Neruda and Gabriela Mistral will be shown at Pinta Miami. The collection will be curated by Matias Allende. There will also be Chilean galleries at Pinta 2018 but the fair is not the only fair where Chilean galleries can be seen.
SISMICA, the network for Chilean artists, announced that nine galleries from the country would be in Miami December 5 to 9, 2018. Two will be at Untitled (Aninat Isabel, Die Ecke). AMS Galeria will be at Art Miami. Six galleries will be part of Pinta (Artespacio, Factoría Santa Rosa, La Sala, Espora, Isabel Croxatto, Aninat Isabel and NAC).
The aim of SISMICA and ProChile (the Chilean Minstry of Foreign Relations organ that promotes Chilean exports generally) is to expose the world to the art of a nation who has produced numerous fine art masters (Roberto Matta, Gonzalo Cienfuegos, Camilo Mori and many others).
These exhibitors aim to show a wider and often more contemporary group of Chilean artists.
