This piece, Field of Flowers, is a monoprint. Snyder (a MacArthur AND Guggenheim fellow). She was the subject of a 2005 retrospective at the Jewish Museum (New York City). The retrospective also showed at the Danforth Museum (Massachusetts). She has been a widely known for her "stroke paintings." These were often large scale abstract pieces.
A monoprint, by the way, is a print made from a single impression by a single block (as opposed to two color/four color prints).
