Bicha Gallery , 7 Gabriel's Wharf, South Bank, London, present a new exhibition investigating transforming landscapes by Clinton De Menezes from August 2 to 26, 2012. De Menezes is a South African artist who works in a variety of medium.
There will also be an opening, with the artist, Thursday, 2 August 2012, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
De Menezes works in painting photography and mixed media construction. The work that reaches out and grabs you by the throat are those showing “views from on high” (my terminology). His work has grabbed my attention, I do not recall where I first saw it but it was mixed in with other work held by galleries.
This is his first solo exhibition at Bicha and those in London would do themselves a favor by taking a look. This exhibition, Passage 2012, is three ongoing projects exploring degeneration, transition and regeneration.
