Lala Land (Twin Sunset) Art: Concept (Paris) showed work by Whitney Bedford at Art Basel Miami Beach 2014.
Bedford, based in Los Angeles, received an MFA from UCLA. She also was the winner of UCLA's Hammer Museum Drawing Biennale and recipient of a Fulbright Graduate Fellowship from Hoscule der Kuenste (Berlin).
This piece, Lala Land (Twin Sunset), is ink and oil on canvas on panel. The color is a bit off (black backgrounds so that) but you can still see that the blackness isn't uniform, that it has nuance and movement.
