Xin's landscapes have an almost Andrew Wyeth feel. Note that I write "feel" here rather than style. These paintings are as different from Wyeth as they are similar. But look that and tell me there is not something similar, some feeling. Xin's work is also beautiful--far more so than shows in these photographs.
Likewise Kai's work has some stylistic similarity with Pop Art. Again please notice the qualifier "some."
These sorts of first impressions are what makes looking at new artists so interesting. You look and think "Oh this artist looks like so and so" and the more you look? The more you realize they do not!
But that impression remains.
