Samiam Releasing "Trips" In September, World Tour In Support

Samiam are heading out on tour in support of their upcoming record, Trips. Trips comes out on Hopeless Records September 6. The band hasn’t released a record for five years. They are pretty stingy with releases! There are special pre-order packages, vinyl t-shirts etc. You can find out more on that front HERE.

I SORT of like the idea of special package deals for music releases. It is tough for artists to make ends meet these days—especially small to medium sized ones. And special releases give them a chance to do that. They also give big fans something special. If the artist takes the time and has the inclination it is also an opportunity to create something, another avenue for art.
