Hank & Cupcakes Release Single, Hit, Head Out On Tour

Hank & Cupcakes refer to their music as “sexy pop.” Or at least their press release does. The group was at SXSW and are heading out on tour for a month and a half. During that time they will hit Bamboozle Fest and The Roots Picnic.

The band was formed in Tel Aviv. Cupcakes is originally from Australia and somehow, after meeting up in Israel they wound up in Cuba for six months of “musical exploration.” Two years ago they landed in Brooklyn, Williamsburg to be specific. But who names their daughter "Cupcake"?  Although if I ever have a girl I plan on naming her "Cheese Danish"...
