Rough Boys
Five O’Clock Heroes have a new record coming next year but they are giving an advance preview NOW. You can check out the track, Rough Boys, above. The odd thing about this NY band is that while they are based HERE, their music has only been released overseas. Both 2006’s Bend to the Breaks and 2007’s Speak Your Language, were released only in Europe.
The new record, Different Times, was recorded in five days with Grammy winning engineer Gus Oberg, who as worked with bands such as The Strokes. Sounds like it might have been an expensive recording session. This record is designed as a USA release.
The band will also be playing a series of shows, one of which will be at the Mercury Lounge in NYC on November 5, 2010.
