River City Tanlines latest record, Coast To Coast, comes out July 31, 2012. Think guitar rock, garage rock and a dash of boogie and you will be spot on. Alicja Trout, the band’s singer, runs Contaminated Records, a recording studio and a number of other bands (Alicja-pop, MouseRocket, Black Sunday). It is close to shocking she has time to eat let alone release a River City Tanlines record. It is the first from the group in six years.
Check out the video for I’m Your Negative and tour dates below. You can find out more about the band at www.rivercitytanlines.com.

The Mynabirds have a new single, Body of Work, that you can get below. The track is off the upcoming record, Generals. YES, we did write about The Mynabirds recently but this is a NEW song. They are certainly worth two mentions. This is a concept record and a protest record. Laura Burhenn’s political angst over the past decade are the inspiration for the record.
Fawn, from Detroit, have a new video for their track, No Wave, and you can see it below. The band’s record, Coastlines, comes out June 12, 2012. We have talked about Fawn before too, just like The Mynabirds, but they are ALSO worth a second mention.
The band features members of a number of other bands…so Fawn are a sort of an indie supergroup, like ASIA! Ok nothing like Asia.
You can find out more at wearefawn.com.
