It is also, of course, a museum and art lab.
This particular project, as part of Expo Chicago 2018, is focused on water, juxtaposing documents and maps related to the water in Flint, Michigan. The maps are of the area and its watershed. The documents are between officials about the crisis (some quite mundane). The ink is copper based mixed with a bit of Flynt Michigan water.
This is art that has an obvious point; water is something we take for granted and should not. Next to air it is the most important substance necessary for human survival. Prints made at Expo (and they are being made there) sell for $50 each.
