Licht Feld Gallery is always a must see booth at any fair--and indeed even at a massive overwhelming event like Art Week in Miami/Miami Beach. Tiffany Trenda's performance piece, Body Code, (read article HERE) is just one example. To the right patrons on opening night photograph the still sculpture of the work and below is a photo of the protective mask and respirator from the piece--as art in itself.
Marck’s multimedia video pieces have appeared at other fairs via Licht Feld. They gather a crowd because they are not simply “video art.” They are pieces of visual art that have repetitive motion as one element. Sounds like splitting hairs? You have to see them perhaps in conjunction, juxtaposed against video art. This isn’t to slight videos as art. These are just a different animal.
The title of the piece above was written in Cyrillic. I do not read Cyrillic.
Galleries, shows and more on ART. Part of the aim of this is to "demystify" art. You are allowed to enjoy art even if you weren't an art major in college.
