The band hail from Denmark and have appeared at a number of festivals and toured in the USA this spring.

Blind Benny is an ethereal rock band.  You would think those two things mutually exclusive but I assure you they are not. They are releasing a debut EP, September 4, 2012 but you can see the video for their track, No Honor, below. You can also download it free HERE.

The band will be playing at Pianos (we assume the one in NYC) on May 31 for a preview performance of the EP.

Originally performing as Jade (the name of the band’s singer) but changed the moniker to be more all inclusive.  Jade, herself, released a solo ep, It’s My Heart, Cookie.

Have a listen, check out their show and wait patiently for September.

The Giving Tree Band are playing shows in June with Joe Purdy (they will also be Purdy’s backing band). Their latest record, Vacilador, is in the can and these shows are a preview of that material. The record comes out in the fall. They do, however, have a music video so you can sample from the upcoming release. The video for Cold Cold Rain is below.

The band, based in Chicago, tour like crazy. They play small venues, big festivals—anywhere there is a stage (and likely places where there isn’t a stage).

There will be more tour dates and news on the upcoming record. To stay up to date head to thegivingtreeband.com.

Flight Facilities have a new video and single for their track, With You. You can check it out below (it features Grovesnor). The EP, just released, of the track has the original mix, an extended mix and a bunch of remixes.

The animated video is worth a look. It is about loss, love and robots. It would be perfect if there were zombies. Have a look.

Make Do and Mend have a new music video for their track, Lucky. It is the first single off the band’s second record, Everything You Ever Loved which comes out June 19 on Rise. You can pre-order the record as well at makedoandmend.merchnow.com.

The band have been around since 2006 and put out several EPs before putting out their first full length, End Measured Mile, a few years back.  This is a rock n roll band. No need to call them anything other than that. No need to “nuance it.”  It is rock n roll.

And they are playing as part of the 2012 Vans Warped Tour. Check out dates HERE.

Tiny Victories, a duo based in Brooklyn, just released a video for the track, Mr. Bones, off their debut ep, Those Of Us Still Alive. You can check it out below. The video was directed by Brian Bowman who has worked on videos for Kanye West, Beyonce and Lady Gaga. He is also a noted short-film director.

As we may have mentioned at some earlier point the band consists of Cason Kelly and Greg Walters. The former was, for years, as social worker and the latter a foreign correspondent (who among other things covered the Russia-Georgia conflict and revolutions in Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine).

Clark is coming to North America for a handful of festivals and special appearances including Mutek Festival and the inaugural show for the Loops and Variations series in Chicago’s Millenium Park. Clark will perform music from his latest recording, Iradelphic. The live show mixes the studio and his club set. And this recording is, apparently, a departure for Clark.

He honed his live instrument skills and added them to his formidable studio arsenal. The music can be, at once, soulful, electronic and pop. It is a unique sound. Very few dates, check them out below.

Tour
June 2 - Montreal @ Mutek Festival
June 6 – Los Angeles @ Airliner (Low End Theory)
June 7 – Chicago @ Millenium Park (Loops and Variations series)
