Escort out of New York play a mix of funk, disco and soul that, at the same time, is a homage to their roots and a modern retelling of all these genres. You can check out a stream of their new single, Barbarians, below. The single package will come with remixed by CSS and Rance Muhammitz. The release date is June 25, 2013.

Soulwhirlingsomewhere just released a new "name your price" ep, Sleeplike, on Bandcamp.

Soulwhirlingsomewhere first emerged on Projekt Records in the 1990s--producing records of hearfelt, ethereal music that calls to mind everything from Red House Painters to Brian Eno and a slew of other acts.

Don't let this foolish exercise in comparison feel you; Michael Plaster created, and creates, something all his own as well. His music is like a fingerprint, when you hear it you know it is his.

Scout Niblett has a new video  for the track, Gun, off her soon to be released LP. It's Up To Emma is the title of the LP and it comes out on Drag City May 21, 2013.

Niblett is out and about as Snow White (wait for the Disney lawsuit..1..2...3...).

Little Lonely (aka Julie Cain) has her debut, self-titled release coming out June 25, 2013. She is playing shows in Los Angeles and has a full tour in the offing too.

Born in Missouri and now living in L.A. plays a sort of Americana/folk. The record is produced be Sean Hoffman who ash previously worked with American Music Club (and others).

Her previous musical incarnations have seen her playing organ at a funeral home and playing country music under the name "Bitsy Lee" (good move changing that name). The studio musicians on the record are a who's who of Indie/American and Folk.

Dead Stars out of Brooklyn are a rock, pop, grunge band that are set to release their new EP, High Grain, on June 4, 2013. The release will be on the Uninhabitable Mansions label run by fellow Brooklynites, Radical Dads.
