Dub Colossus' Dub Me Tender Vol 1+2 comes out March 26, 2013. The record is a dub-heavy album that reworks previously released Dub Colossus songs—and four new tracks. The idea was to combine Ethiopique beats with Ethiojazz and dub reggae, channeling artists like the Abyssinians and Mighty Diamonds. The record features the original Ethiopian line-up of Dub Colossus with numerous guests. Find out more HERE. Sin Fang's New LP, "Flowers," Streaming At Conan O'Brien's Website, New Skateboard Designs Out Now2/19/2013 We’ve written a slew about Sin Fang, a solo project from Sindri Már Sigfússon of Seabear, a few times recently. But now we have been made aware you can stream the record at Conan O’Brien’s website. Sigfússon has also realized his dream of designing two special edition skateboard decks in collaboration with Alien Workshop (long time fans). If you buy one of the decks you get a download code for Flowers. Conquistador’s latest, I’m Alive, a alluring bit of psych-pop, is below for your perusal. The electro-glam track is the latest from the LA artist and musician in collaboration with Carlos Cháirez of Mexico’s Kinky. The track was inspired by the Arab Spring (took awhile to get this out ?). But it isn’t a new thing to be invested in protest movements worldwide. Conquistador previously was involved in the Free Iran movement in Sweden and donated music during the abortive Green Movement. Also referenced in this song are the Zazous—a little known subculture in World War II France who wore yellow stars that said “Zazou.” These are taken as mocking the Nazis but others, over the years, have suggested different motives rather than solidarity with the oppressed (i.e. they were just rebellious youth) Nonetheless, it is nice to see pop music with a message. The Aprons are a shoegazey sort of band out of Israel. Their video for the song, SoundStain, is below. Forty animators worked on the video. Check it out. Their full-length came out in July 2012. The band bills themselves as "shoegaze" but there is more than a little psychedelic mixed into this track. You can download the track at the band's Bandcamp page. You can also buy the full length record for $6.99. Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors have a new record coming (Holcomb’s fourth and the third with “The Neighbors). Good Light comes out February 26, 2013. You can see the video for the title track below and download it at www.drewholcomb.com. The band is also heading out on tour both solo and as an opener for Needtobreathe. Dates are below. Tour

The Doc Marshalls’ music ranges from Cajun two-steps to honky tonk to Americana. The new record has a surprising "flavor"...that of Brooklyn where it was recorded. An interesting blend of American styles and a band well worth the effort to see. Tour
